MCSL Reps Meeting Minutes
July 13, 2006

President:
· Call to Order: Jim Garner called the meeting to order at 8:06PM. Teams present were: B, CA, CS, CLM, D, DA, FV, FR, GP, GM, HA, KM, KFM, MCT, MS, NMC, NH, NCC, O, P, QO, RC, RS, RV, SL, SB, SG, TH, TN, TF, WL, WW, W, WCF.
· Calendar - The MCSL Reps voted to approve the 2007 swim season to begin with Time Trials on June 9, just before schools let out. The first meet will be on June 16 and All-Stars on 28 and 29 July. They also voted to approve the Relay Carnival window from June 24 to July 8 with the 9th as rain date.
· Coach's Long Course: Jim reported that this year's MCSL Coach's Long Course Invitational meet went without incident. All equipment worked well and the meet was well run by PVS officials and coach and parent volunteers.
· Iona Brown Award Nominations: Due with the submission of Divisional results.
Awards: Debbie Mengering asked Reps to consider donating any unused medals for future use as a cost saving measure.
All-Stars: Marty Cohen provided planning for this year's All-Stars. He asked the MCSL Reps to provide names and contact information, 5 names from each division, or deck officials. This should include nominees for all 3 sessions for S&T, Referee, Starter, and Head Timer. He encouraged Reps to find new volunteers so the burden of running the meets do not always fall on the same people. He remind the Reps that scratches will be due on July 22, 2006. Mary also reminded Reps to park only in designated spaces to prevent ticketing by Rockville City PD.
MCSL Records: Linda Raab distributed MCSL record certificates and patches.
Reps: One MCSL Rep offered thanks to the Board for a successful 6 Flags outing. Another member distributed fliers on the 3rd Annual Down-County Mini-Meet, hosted by the Kemp Mill "Kangaroos" on Sunday, July 16..
Jim adjourned the meeting at 8:20PM noting we will have an option Reps meeting in September and that Reps should send rule change suggestions to rules@mcsll.org.
