Classic Photo and Swim Pro made advertiser presentations. Jim advised that he will be contacting Colorado for ordering new starting systems and will have them delivered prior to Time Trials. They will cost approximately $780 per unit, which is a bargain price. Jim also said that MCSL would follow the new USA Swimming rule change involving the breaststroke kick at starts and turns.

Webmaster: Bob Hincke introduced the newest MCSL team, the Woodcliffe “Wahoos.” Welcome Wahoos! Bob also explained that they would be in O Division, which is the customary starting placement for new teams. N Division now has a full complement of teams. O Division having 5 teams will swim their normal schedule and there will be a B Team or mentoring team competition to fill in for the vacancy. Bob reminded teams to update their reps and contact information for the MCSL website by 1 April. He also reminded reps that he will be updating the Officials webpage for recertification and reps should check because any Official that does not have an “05” by his or her name must recertify at this year’s Officials Clinics.

Officials Clinics: Denice Wepasnick reminded reps that now is the time to ask parents to become certified MCSL Officials and gave a brief overview of the clinic process. Dates for this year’s clinics should be available by the March meeting.

Vice President: Sally MacKenzie discussed the MCSL petition process for changing teams advising our process is to look out for the league’s equities overall. She also advised that there would be one rule change considered this season by the Rules Committee involving the Relay Carnival order of events.

Automation: Linda Raab asked reps to consider ordering Team Manager 4 from Hytek this season. This version will be used and is necessary for the Automation Clinics. The cost will be $75.00 to Hytek. MCSL will purchase the latest version of Hytek Meet Manager software for teams.

Advertising: Bob Hydorn advised that the 2006 program will soon be on the website and he encouraged the reps to solicit new vendors. There is a 31 March deadline for ad copy and payment for ads. Bob also advised that beginning with the March meeting, table placards would be placed annotating divisions so reps can sit together by their respective divisions.

Awards Board Positions: Jim Garner appealed to the membership for volunteers to assume the MCSL Executive Committee Awards position. Ribbons for the 2006 season have been ordered but we need someone to step up and assist the league with this very important job as soon as possible. Board membership is for a two-year period.
