MCSL REPRESENTATIVES MEETING MINUTES
7/14/2005
Apology: Sorry about the July minutes being sent out so late. I forgot all about them as most of you did after All-Stars. Your new Secretary Frank Magnanelli will no doubt be more punctual.
Awards: If you have any awards from All-Stars that need to be corrected (and you have not already contacted Tracey) please send a note to awards@mcsl.org and we will try to get corrected.
In the News: There was an article about our league in the July 13 Rockville Edition of Gazette 2.
2006 Schedule: Season will start on 6/17/2006. School is out (without maxing out snow days) on 6/14/2006.
New Executive Board Positions: Jim Garner (President), Sally MacKenzie (Vice President), David Mengering (Treasurer), Frank Magnanelli (Secretary). Retiring this year will be Bill Ferguson and Tracey Glass.
New Team Data: Please send any updates to your team data at any time to web@mcsl.org . It is much easier to do this little by little than try to get it all just before the handbook comes out. It is fine if your info is not complete but if there are changes that you are sure of please let us know.
Next Meeting: September 8 is the last Representative meeting of 2005. It is optional. If you would like to come to discuss any issues about your season, hear any proposed rule changes or have news on potential new teams please feel free to attend at 8PM. Executive office building cafeteria. It should be a short meeting.
Automation: We may be required to go to a new version of Team/Meet Manager next year as our current version will no longer be supported by Hy-Tek. We will keep you posted as we figure out what teams will need to do for next year.
After the Fact: Thanks to all the Reps that came through with officials and volunteers for the All-Star Meets. We were able to fully staff all the sessions. However, these officials and volunteers were not submitted to us in the way we have requested. In most cases the person assigned all-star officials duty for their respective division took the summer off. You must help us by doing a more thorough and timely job next summer and beyond. We will be looking into ways to stimulate a better response next summer.
Absent for the September Meeting: If you do not attend the meeting this Thursday please have a healthy and happy fall and winter season. We will see you next on February 9, 2006. Any issues that come to mind or ideas you may have for the upcoming season feel free to send us a note for consideration at web@mcsl.org .
