Representatives Meeting
Minutes of April 13, 2000

Call to Order: Marty Cohen called the meeting to order at 8:10 pm.

Advertisers: The following MCSL Handbook supporters gave presentations to the membership:

Please make an attempt to use the league sponsors. The support they provide helps the league fund our programs.

Starting Machines: Jim Garner has 3 teams with interest in new start machines from Colorado Time. The cost of the new machines is $630 plus a tripod if needed. Please contact Jim via E-mail if your team needs a new start machine this season.

Treasurer's Report: Mary Parker reminded teams that dues would be due before the May meeting.

Secretary's Report: Bill Ferguson discussed team information sheets. Please update and fax or E-mail the changes to Bill at 301 871-3684 FAX or E-mail Ferg2b@aol.com.

Awards: Please E-mail B meet ribbon orders to PeckGH@Erols.com. Orders for year 2000 T-shirts for All Stars and Longcourse will be ordered from the leagues database of participants.

Clinics: Remember that all officials serving as starters and referees will need recertification for 2000. Due to the adoption of the "whistle starts" procedure, all officials need retraining. We will offer the first half hour of each clinic to an overview of the new start procedures. Any official that certified in 1999 and wants to work as a ref or starter this season will need to attend the first half hour at a minimum. However, unless an official attends the entire training session, the certification will only be valid for the 2000 season.

Automation: Training classes for automation will begin in May. The league will provide FREE copies of meet mgr and comlink. Each team must purchase team manager for windows $149. Now is the time to order so the entire eague will all be on the same version. Specify when you order that you are with the MCSL and that this will be an upgrade. This will insure that you get the best pricing.

Adjournment and next meeting: The meeting was adjourned at 9:05pm. The next meeting will be held at the Executive Office Building Cafeteria on Thursday May 11, 2000, 8:00pm.
