The Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL) sponsors competitive
swimming and other activities among the swimming pools and organizations
in Montgomery County, Maryland. The goals of the program include helping
young people establish a love for the sport of swimming, advanced aquatic
skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship.
The
MCSL is constructing a Virtual Hall of Fame for the 50th Anniversary of
the organization to recognize individuals who have contributed
substantially to the welfare and/or fame of the MCSL. There will be
new nominees annually. We hope to begin the Hall of Fame with 100
people who may be representatives of the league. Candidates should be
coaches, pool reps, board members, officials, swimmers and/or founders of
the original league. If you would please email names of potential
candidates by June 12, with a short explanation of why they should be
considered we would be appreciative. Even one name is helpful. A small Ad
Hoc committee will then select member names from these nominations. Please

preparation for a series of press releases related to MCSL’s 50th
Anniversary, we’d like to identify multi-generational MCSL families who
might like to be profiled by news media. Families should have at
least one current active MCSL swimmer.

brief description of the family’s MCSL involvement to Dave Coyne,
