Head Coach

The Little Falls Penguins are looking for a  Head Coach for the 2008 MCSL Summer swim season (Memorial Day through all-star weekend in late July). Little Falls is a community pool with approximately 100 swimmers, including a developmental program for younger kids. We are neighborhood based, with second-generation swimmers now on the team! Last summer Little Falls swept Division I; we will be competing in Division H this summer.
The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, good organization skills, and have experience in competitive swimming. He/she should also be able to provide leadership, enthusiasm for the sport, great team spirit, and most importantly the desire to make each swimmer's season enjoyable and worthwhile.  The head coach will lead practices (afternoon only until the end of school, morning and afternoon after that); participate in Wednesday evening and Saturday morning meets; plan the swim lineup at a Thursday evening meeting, and attend Friday afternoon pep rallies and other team-related social events during the season.
Salary and benefits are competitive. Additional income from private swim lessons is also possible, and some past coaches have run a successful senior swimmers program as well.
