 Assistant Coach

ASSISTANT COACH FOR 2008 SWIM SEASON AT CARDEROCK SPRINGS 
Carderock Springs Swim Club (J Division) has a position available for an Assistant Coach for the 2008 summer swim season.   We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, works well with all age groups, and has excellent skills to join our Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach. The team generally has about  110 swimmers. Salary commensurate with experience.

The job position duties include:

• All morning and afternoon practices
• All stroke and turn clinics after morning practice
• All Meets (generally Wednesday and Saturday) 
• Attending team events (Friday pizza party after afternoon practice;BBQ after home meets; banquet;etc.) 
• Assisting coaches in preparing line-ups for Meets Managing swimmers at Meets Providing updates and assessments of swimmers' progress   

Applicants must have:  

• Excellent stroke skills 
• Lifeguard and CPR Certification 
• Good communication and teaching skills   

Season:  

• Afternoon practices begin the week before Memorial Day. 
• Regular practice season begins the day after public school ends.  
• The final Meet is the All-Stars Meet on July 27.
